International duo to rule the world? Viewers of Saturday's Night's show caught a glimpse of the duo Times 2 when they performed Take That's Rule The World for the judges. The pair didn't make it through to bootcamp, but that didn't make them downhearted - after all they're already lucky in love! The husband and wife duo, Michael and Lena may live in suburban St Albans but their romance has already seen them travel halfway around the world - because Lena is a Russian mail order bride! Says Michael; "My friend gave me a copy of a pen friend magazine. He told me to try it because he'd already been successful". His eye was drawn to a girl in Russia. Says Lena, "I am from Siberia and my family moved to the South of Russia. I felt quite lonely and I didn't have many friends and my mum felt sorry for me, so she applied for me". "I don't believe in such distant romance, but I liked his picture because he is dark, an Italian." The pair wrote and of course Michael sent Lena a music tape featuring him singing and playing". Just six months later he made his first trip to Russia and within a week the pair were engaged! After marrying in Russia the pair moved to St Albans where they have been together for five years. Says Michael, "We love to sing together and play music. We sing for friends, at parties and at karaoke". Lena nods. "There aren't many husband and wife duos out there, so we are pretty unique. We sing romantic songs and we put a lot of feeling into them." Michael says, "We are trying to share our love through music". "We do have an international theme so yes, I suppose to achieve international stardom would be the big dream!"
